Salina Christmas 2010

This year Matt and I decided to go to Salina for Christmas. We had a great time and Great Grandpa and Grandma loved that we came. Josh had a good time with all his gifts and was thrilled Santa found him in Salina. He knew it was really Santa when his stocking from Lincoln made it all that way:o) We went swimming also Christmas day and that possibly made Josh more happy than his gifts!! On Christmas eve we did the usual and then went and looked at lights. Josh got to see some of Santa's helpers who passed out popcorn. He ate the biggest bag of popcorn, I think it had enough salt in it for his lifetime!!! He traveled VERY well to and from Salina. I think we know he is a 3 hour boy in the car and that is it. More than that and it's a LOT of work and frustration for everyone.

This pop up tent has been the best tent ever. I can smash it in a closet in no time at all and we don't have to worry about him being able to tear a pole thru the end of it. I told Matt I remember when we would play with a family in town and they had a tepee. That thing was so much fun and they could just pick it up and put it in a closet. I wish I had that but this will do! Brooke and Amy I'm sure you remember that thing. Did your mom make that cover on it?

Forgot to post!

I guess I missed this post! Josh had fun all Christmas moving my nativity scene around. He said the animals go in the barn and Mary is married to the 1st wise man because he is bent down to see his new baby!!! One time he had everyone in the barn that was a little to much touching for me. It was time to tell him he can only look!! Matt's mom and dad have worked very hard to get me something to this set every Christmas!! Don even built me the barn!

Pa and Josh are good buds. Josh likes it when he lifts him up and he can touch the ceiling in the kitchen.
A bike from Santa! Pa is getting a new bike from Santa all put together so he can ride it in the house. He was sooooo glad he got what he asked for from Santa. Posted by Picasa

Christmas Gifts

We made Christmas presents this year! We did a name exchange for the McKenzie side and I got Lori! I usually make the traditional blanket but the sewing machine was not happy and this sounded like lot's of fun! We made door hangers that Lori can hang outside for a few seasons!! Took a bit to get the patterns made but we got it done!!
Josh loves to do EVERYTHING Matt does. He was so serious about what he was doing in this picture.

Finally we went back to the craft store and got Josh his own craft. This is a hutch like Grandma Lori's and he also painted a dinosaur.

New Bed!!

Josh finally has himself a new bed!!! He will sleep all night in it ONLY if he skips a nap. That nap thing is not something momma is real thrilled about. He loves to be tossed into the air by his daddy onto his bed!! I'm a little more dangerous about the tossing thing so I don't do that anymore, LOL! We got him a nice bed liner and they will warranty his bed if a leak goes thru!!! That cover is being tested for sure.
