Merry Christmas everyone! Joshy looks like he really likes his outfit. He is more interested in the box than what we are trying to do. He would not help us out and get a good picture for the big day!
We have had another long week of the flu. We started getting the flu two weeks before Thanksgiving with Joshua and we still have it. This time lot’s of throwing up. I didn’t know a baby could throw up so much! He is on the mends, we took him to the Doctor and he has swelled up tonsils and ear infection. We can’t seem to kick it I guess he just has to get exposed to all of that stuff sometime in his life. I thought I was doing a good job with the germs but I guess I’m going to go in over drive now. My new thing at Walmart is to not even uncover him so people do not touch him. I know he is cute but just keep your hands off of him. I know this is our biggest problem people LOVE to touch him on his chubby cheeks then touch his clean little hands. Well if they thought about it at all they should know he will put his hands right into his mouth! That’s after they have touch every dirty cart and item in Walmart. I could go off on germs all day long and that people don’t even think when it comes to babies and what a small germ can do, I think you get my drift! So he are a few pictures of Joshy in the shower trying to get a little steam in the nose!
Josh and Maddix see Santa for the first time!! Josh didn't make it thru the line before he fell asleep. Both boys had fun and didn't ask for a single thing.
Its official Joshua can roll over! He started this yesterday and it still takes a bit for him to go over. He can roll from his back to his tummy both ways. He has to be in a wild mood to get over if he is relaxed he will just stay flat. He is on his side more than anything but you can tell he gets it now.
In just two days Josh was feeling much better and we went to Gunnison! He still is a little sick but defiantly getting much better. This was our first trip to see grandma and grandpa McKenzie and boy was it a long drive. Nine hours in the car is a long ride I’m not sure how they come see us so often. Josh did really well on the way out and did ok with the altitude adjustment. Matt and I both got a little worried if he would do ok with his ear infection and the altitude but he did just fine. We had a great time just hanging out and eating lots of food. It snowed a couple times but melted off when the sun came out. We didn’t do our usual shopping because we didn’t want to get Josh out with his bronchitis but still had fun. Matt and his dad worked on Don’s airplane and the gals just hung out entertaining Mr. Josh. We got stuck in a little bad weather on the way home so that slowed things down but we finally made it home and hope to be back for New Years!!
Josh is 5 months old today!! Wow time just went way too fast. Matt just said last night it just seems like yesterday we had him, maybe because we are still dealing with our ins. on him! He is still a happy boy a little more work this past month but I think we found out why he was so fussy at night. Both ears have an infection and he has bronchitis. Still thru it all he is a good baby. Matt and I both had the flu and the Beringers all had the flu so we are not surprised Josh got it. We hope to go to Gunnison for Thanksgiving but with all Josh has going on we will see what the Dr. has to say. Enjoy the pictures sorry not a long blog it's been a crazy month!
Thursday Josh and I went to Colorado Springs to pick up a new car seat and make Thads Dr apt.. The car seat takes up a lot more room than his other seat and it makes him look like a big boy! He also got a walker of Thad's to use and we found a lady that had a Jumperoo for sale! Josh had a good time staying over night with Thad except Thad is a little more vocal than what Josh liked. Every time Thad would make his baby grunt noise Josh would jump. Finally on Friday he seem to not jump as much and knew he was going to be fine! It was snowing and the wind was blowing Friday morining so we waited to leave until 11:30am and Josh made it the whole way without a stop! That night we decided he was such a big boy we would try some rice ceral and he loved it.
Saturday mom and Wayne came down and brought Josh a bear toy and Jonny Junmp Up that Beth is letting us use! We also took Josh,Maddix,Zekke and Titus to see Santa and to get a picture with him. Josh fell asleep before he got to tell Santa what he wanted I guess he thought he must of already had Christmas with all his new stuff! We should get the pictures back on Monday so I'll have to share them then.
Josh had many Halloween outfits this year! He and Maddix shared a Zekke outfit from a few years back. We bought Josh a new pumpkin outfit but he out grew it before the big day. Titus had fun playing with the babies while Zekke was a big boy and went out with his friend. I thought with Halloween on a Friday night we might have a big turn out so I bought a lot of extra candy. Well we had 50 little people and way more candy than kids!!
Josh is so heavy! Yes, he is a heavy baby and it was sure nice to have some help holding him. Grandma and Grandpa McKenzie, Great Grandma Nina and Aunt Linda all came to see him for a few days. By the weekend everyone was saying he was too heavy to carry around.
We also had 2 1/2 inches of snow after everyone got here! I didn't let Josh go out and play in his first snow, it was way to windy. After the snow melted it was a wonderful weekend and Aunt Linda took Josh on his first stroller RUN! If you know me I DON'T RUN we go on walks. Josh had a good time and fell asleep quickly into the run. They came back with red cold cheeks and Aunt Linda was very tired pushing a heavy stroller while running. All in all the weekend went way to fast and we can't wait to travel to Gunnison in November!
