No Baby Yet!

No baby yet!

Looks like we will have this baby on Wednesday June 25th! We went in Monday June 16th to have an amnio and he did not pass. They thought his lungs would be ready but it looks like another week. They had me all hooked up to the baby monitor listing to his heart and double checking any contractions. So we had a little bit of a practice day so we packed up and went back to Matt’s sister’s house for the day. Linda and I took naps and Matt worked on his computer! Linda just got a new kitten on Saturday and she decided my belly looked like a nice place to sleep.

Baby Shower

All Ready to Go!!

My wonderful sisters Beth, Jill, Mindy and Linda all threw a baby shower for me! The baby’s room finally looks like a baby might be here before we know it. Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Wayne got him a nice glider rocker, while Grandma Lori and Grandpa Don made him a beautiful crib and gave him a crib set. The gals for the baby shower gave us a bassinet that I’m sure will come in very handy!!

We hope to have this little man on Monday June 16th! We have an amnio scheduled for 7:30 am to make sure he is ready we should know in a couple of hours. If he is ready we have a lot of calling to do. We are very excited to have a new addition to the family I know we have been waiting a long time! Can’t wait for all of you to see him and we will get another post as soon as possible!!

Landscaping

Finally our backyard is starting to look like a backyard. When we moved in, it was full of very tall weeds and iris plants. Matt took a pickup load to the dump of just plants. They had not been taken care of and were very over grown. Once he had the back yard empty of greens it was time to dig out all the rock around the yard. The family that was here before us put rock in every place possible. He had many ideas on how to do it but finally put his Jeep to work. I was no help this summer with a baby on the way, so he has done this ALL by himself! He then had some edging put in, and we moved a few plants around plus my Mom and Wayne gave us a few! Thanks to them we got one area of the fence covered with plants and mulch. We also picked up some lilac bushes from the greenhouse. The sprinklers will be next and then on to some grass, I know Hoss will be very happy to have some grass and a dog door!
